Vallum Associates is collaborating with a prominent SaaS organization that specializes in developing and implementing a leading cloud-based Customer Information System (CIS) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) solution tailored for the Energy and Utilities industry. This innovative platform is built on the robust Microsoft Dynamics 365 framework and is delivered as a service via the Microsoft Azure Cloud. The company operates across Europe, the UK, and North America, employing a diverse team of over 450 professionals.

The Cloud Solutions Architect will play a pivotal role in designing, executing, documenting, and overseeing Azure cloud solutions that align with the strategic objectives of clients implementing the platform. This position requires a profound understanding of Azure cloud architecture, superior technical capabilities, and the ability to convert intricate requirements into effective solutions.

The ideal candidate will also demonstrate outstanding communication skills and comfort in client-facing situations, ensuring the provision of high-quality service and the cultivation of strong client relationships.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and implement cloud architectures utilizing Azure services to fulfill client specifications.
  • Lead the deployment of Azure solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Serve as the primary technical liaison for clients, comprehending their needs and translating them into technical requirements.
  • Offer technical guidance and support to development teams throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Monitor and enhance the performance of cloud solutions to meet performance and availability standards.
  • Ensure compliance of all cloud solutions with security policies and best practices.
  • Create comprehensive documentation of solutions (e.g., architecture, configuration, and setup) and provide training to clients and internal teams.
  • Assist in Business Development and Technical Pre-sales activities.

Essential Qualifications:

  • 3-6 years of experience as a technical or solutions architect, with a solid foundation in the Microsoft Azure cloud platform.
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Azure services, including Azure VMs, Azure Storage, Azure Networking, and Azure Security.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain client relationships, understand their business needs, and ensure satisfaction.
  • Proven track record in designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.
  • Experience with D365 business applications and/or Power Platform is advantageous.
  • Relevant Azure certifications are highly desirable (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect Expert).
  • Hands-on approach with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, capable of explaining complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
