Interface Recruitment UK is seeking a highly skilled Business Intelligence Business Analyst to join our client's Business Intelligence Team. As a Business Intelligence Business Analyst, you will play a key role in developing the Business Intelligence function, ensuring consistency in reporting and data definitions across the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and liaise with business stakeholders, SMEs, and senior management to gather business requirements and elicit business needs.
- Develop and work with existing artefacts to ensure all processes, business logic, transformation of logic, data definitions, and process mapping information is articulated in the Business Intelligence artefacts.
- Ensure robust governance on all Business Intelligence documentation with security processes adhered to.
- Prepare As-Is and To-Be gap analysis, creating diagrams, and demonstrating benefits of the To-Be model.
- Work closely with the data governance team to ensure data governance principles underpin all business processes, changes, and new requests.
- Ensure Business Intelligence requirements can be traced and tracked through the development process, and any changes are managed and reflected through all documentation.
Requirements:
- Experience of requirements gathering for complete end-to-end Business Intelligence solution delivery.
- Experience of requirements gathering particularly for the data warehouse build.
- Ability to interpret data to provide insight and direction based on findings.
- Experience of building logical data models is desired.
- Knowledge of Business Intelligence tools, such as Qlik, SSRS, Business Objects is desired.
- Knowledge of Dimensional Modelling – Kimball methodology is desired.
- Ability to rapidly understand business processes in detail.
- Business/Numerical Honours degree or QBE or equivalent.
- Effective communicator with good organisational and prioritising skills.
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, etc.).
- Experience of presenting technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
- Good understanding of the Business Intelligence development life cycle.
