Position Overview

Whiteoak Associates is seeking a skilled Senior Mechanical Engineering Project Manager to oversee significant projects in the engineering sector.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Project Management: Ensure comprehensive understanding and agreement of project requirements, specifications, design documentation, and health and safety protocols, while establishing a detailed project timeline.
  • Health and Safety Compliance: Assist in the formulation of Health and Safety Plans, Quality Assurance Plans, Method Statements, and Risk Assessments.
  • Resource Planning: Collaborate with the Project Manager to develop a labor schedule.
  • Site Supervision: Oversee and manage all on-site operations, ensuring all work aspects are executed efficiently.
  • Material Compliance: Verify that all materials utilized, including those from subcontractors, adhere to technical and quality standards.
  • Client Specifications: Ensure adherence to client specifications, method statements, industry standards, and legal requirements on-site.
  • Quality Assurance: Maintain quality control at all times, keeping a detailed snagging list and ensuring timely resolution of all issues.
  • Progress Monitoring: Manage weekly progress in relation to the project timeline and budget.
  • Client Interaction: Serve as the primary interface with external clients.
Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess a Mechanical Engineering qualification along with substantial experience in managing the installation of mechanical services within the energy or transportation sectors.
