Job Description

Adecco is seeking a highly skilled Corporate Communications Officer to join Dorset Police at their Winfrith HQ.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and Implement Corporate Communications Strategies: Identify internal and external opportunities to communicate key corporate messages via various channels, including traditional and new technology mechanisms.
  • Produce Corporate Literature and PR Products: Create engaging materials aimed at the public, internal audiences, stakeholders, and partners to increase understanding of policing services.
  • Manage Brand and Corporate Identity: Analyze and segment internal and external audiences, planning communications tactics, messages, and channels appropriate to each.
  • Support Departmental Colleagues: Enhance public engagement with and support for the police through the Force annual Events Management Strategy.
  • Develop Innovative Internal Communications Channels: Enable officers and staff to access information more easily.
  • Advise and Influence Colleagues and Partners: Provide expert advice on the best communications approach for planned and reactive issues.
Requirements:
  • Educated to Degree Level or Equivalent: In a relevant communications discipline.
  • Proven Track Record: Implementing PR and marketing strategies.
  • Excellent Written and Verbal Communication Skills.
  • Proven Organisational, Planning, Research, and Evaluation Skills.
  • Proven Experience: Developing internal communication strategies for diverse audiences, including mobile workers.
  • Ability to Identify, Map, and Manage Stakeholders: Simultaneously.
