About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic Cover Supervisor to join our team at Vision for Education - Cornwall. As a Cover Supervisor, you will be responsible for providing cover during periods of teacher absence, supporting students in a variety of subjects, and contributing to the smooth operation of our secondary schools.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide cover for absent teachers, ensuring minimal disruption to students' learning
  • Support students in a range of subjects, including Key Stage 3 and 4
  • Assist with classroom management, maintaining a positive and inclusive learning environment
  • Deliver pre-prepared work to students, promoting engagement and understanding
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure seamless support for students
Requirements
  • Hold a degree in a relevant subject
  • Have previous experience in tutoring, mentoring, or teaching
  • Demonstrate excellent classroom management skills and the ability to adapt to different situations
  • Be flexible and willing to work in a variety of settings
  • Hold an Enhanced DBS check, registered on the Update Service
