Catering Support Assistant

We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our dedicated team in Ilkeston, Long Eaton, and Swadlincote areas.
As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the kitchen supervisor in all areas across Derbyshire. This may involve working at a production unit or at a servery unit, where you will be responsible for food preparation, cooking, portion control, allergen compliance, and preparing the dining room for service.
Our Catering Assistants are the face of our service, interacting with customers and ensuring that food hygiene and health & safety regulations are followed. We want to provide excellent customer experiences, so it is essential that you can demonstrate an attitude suitable for a school environment.
To be successful in this role, you will need to complete the NVQ food hygiene certificate upon appointment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the kitchen supervisor in all areas
- Food preparation, cooking, and portion control
- Allergen compliance and dining room preparation
- Interact with customers and ensure excellent customer experiences
- Follow food hygiene and health & safety regulations
