Key Responsibilities- Provide procurement support to the UK Head of Procurement, focusing on direct procurement spend for VVUK-based brands.
- Lead cross-functional and site sourcing initiatives, ensuring key stakeholder requirements are met.
- Project manage multi-site, multi-discipline cost initiatives, tracking and reporting progress monthly.
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to increase the use of sustainable materials and packaging.
- Ensure all procurement activity aligns with the Procurement Strategy and centralized Procurement Policies.
- Travel to key suppliers to resolve emerging supply problems.
- Perform procurement-related activities, including pre-qualification of suppliers, negotiating terms and conditions, and managing purchase price variances.
- Prepare contracts and manage tenders, ensuring timely implementation.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement and drive departmental projects from conception to completion.
- Research and identify prospective suppliers, evaluating their potential according to key business and Procurement Strategies.
- Monitor and measure supplier performance, resolving issues and concerns using the Procurement-generated Balanced Scorecard approach.
- Analyze industry and demand trends, supporting management in developing and implementing sourcing Procurement Strategies.
- Minimum 3 years' experience as a Procurement Specialist or similar role.
- Good working knowledge of purchasing strategies and systems.
- Approachable and flexible, with excellent planning and organizational skills.
- Willingness to travel regularly between Southern UK sites.
- Procurement experience from the Ventilation/HVAC industry is an advantage, but not essential.
