Job Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Learning Support Assistant to join our team at West Walker Primary School. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and personal development of our children, working closely with teachers to establish positive relationships and provide classroom support.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide classroom support to teachers, assisting with the learning and personal development of children.
- Establish positive relationships with children, empathising with their needs and providing emotional support when required.
- Work with teachers to develop and implement strategies to support children's learning and behaviour.
- Contribute to the creation of a safe and inclusive learning environment, promoting the welfare and well-being of all children.
Requirements
- Knowledge of the primary curriculum and experience of working with children in a classroom setting.
- Learning Assistant Level 2 qualification or equivalent.
- Motivation to work with children and young people, with a commitment to their learning and personal development.
- Emotional resilience when working with challenging behaviours.

This post is term time only plus 5 training days and is fixed term until 31/08/2025.
