Yard Operations Manager

Job Summary:
The ideal candidate for this Yard Assistant role at MKM Building Supplies will have a proven track record in managing a warehouse/yard in a fast-paced environment. They will be responsible for the yard/warehouse operation and for providing excellent standards of service, efficiency, and performance.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse/yard, ensuring smooth and efficient processes.
- Oversee the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, maintaining accurate records and reports.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve operational efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
- Lead and motivate a team of warehouse/yard staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure they meet their performance targets.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as sales, marketing, and procurement, to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in managing a warehouse/yard in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify areas for improvement and implement effective solutions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems and software, with experience in using technology to improve operational efficiency.
