Job Title: Induction of Labour Coordinator

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced midwife to join our team as an Induction of Labour Coordinator at Liverpool Women's NHS Foundation Trust. The successful candidate will have significant midwifery experience and demonstrate clinical leadership and expert knowledge in the induction process.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Oversee Planned Inductions: Ensure safe and effective arrangements for induction of labour, prioritizing admissions and transfers based on individualized care plans.
  • Booking and Coordination: Book inductions and make arrangements for admissions, ensuring seamless coordination with multidisciplinary teams.
  • Review and Prioritize: Review and prioritize inductions based on individualized care plans, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
  • Admission Coordination: Coordinate admissions for induction of labour, ensuring smooth transitions and effective communication with patients and families.
  • Audit and Service Improvement: Participate in audit and service improvement plans, contributing to the development of evidence-based practices and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Essential Criteria:
    • Registered Midwife (RM)
    • First degree or equivalent
    • Evidence of ongoing professional development
  • Desirable Criteria:
    • Masters Level Qualification

  • Resource Management: Manage resources effectively, ensuring efficient use of time and personnel.
  • Risk Management: Demonstrate experience in risk management, identifying and mitigating potential risks in the induction process.
  • Team Working and Relationship Building: Build effective relationships with colleagues and contribute to a positive team culture.
  • Change Leadership and Conflict Management: Lead change and manage conflict effectively, ensuring a positive and supportive work environment.
  • Commitment to Midwifery Care: Demonstrate a commitment to continually develop midwifery care, staying up-to-date with best practices and evidence-based guidelines.
  • Support for Intrapartum Matron: Support the role of the Intrapartum Matron, contributing to the development of effective care pathways and quality improvement initiatives.
