Software Engineer / Embedded Software Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer / Embedded Software Engineer to join our team at BlueGate Consulting. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software and firmware solutions for safety critical systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop software and firmware solutions for safety critical systems
  • Collaborate with the engineering team to create and optimize firmware solutions
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure software and firmware meet requirements
  • Develop and maintain software and firmware documentation
  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards
  • Identify and troubleshoot software and firmware issues
  • Develop and implement testing strategies to ensure software and firmware quality

Requirements:

  • Strong skills in C++, Windows, and embedded software design and development
  • Proficiency in debugging and troubleshooting firmware issues
  • Experience in firmware development for industrial applications
  • Knowledge of programming languages such as C/C++ and Assembly
  • Microprocessor programming experience
  • Assembler programming on PIC32 and ARM machines
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively

Preferred Qualifications:

  • C# knowledge
  • Experience in the electronics, telecoms, or industrial automation industry
