Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and conduct variance analysis.
- Generate KPI reports and assist the Finance Manager with various projects as needed.
- Collaborate closely with different departments and senior management, offering financial insights and analyses to aid in strategic decision-making.
Specific Duties Include:
- Producing monthly financial reports for assigned entities, adhering to strict reporting deadlines.
- Supporting the Group Finance Controller in managing the accounts payable team and ensuring efficient operations of standard processes and key controls.
- Taking ownership of key balance sheet reconciliations and ensuring they are completed to agreed deadlines.
- Presenting reconciliations to a high professional standard, clearly communicating the significance of balance sheet figures.
- Assisting in the integration of financial operations from acquired companies into the central finance team.
- Contributing to high-level monthly reporting on key balance sheet controls and identifying potential risks or issues early.
- Producing essential general ledger reconciliations and lead schedules to support the annual statutory audit process.
- Acting as a point of contact for financial reporting queries related to assigned entities.
- Assisting in the preparation of tax documentation to ensure accuracy in annual tax returns.
- Facilitating the completion of audit requests and addressing additional inquiries from auditors.
- Approving bank payments in accordance with group policies.
- Reconciling and balancing daily cash books, as well as managing month-end procedures.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with relevant departments to gather accurate and timely management information.
- During peak periods, assisting with cost center coding and managing the workflow approval process for purchase ledger invoices, credit cards, and staff expenses.
