About the Role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Planning and Analysis Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Applied Analytical Technologies Business Unit, you will play a critical role in driving the financial success of our organization.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate planning sessions and develop key analytics to drive profitability among the organization.
  • Partner with functional leaders to support the RD cost by program tracking and help the RD leader with the prioritization of RD investment.
  • Develop, track, report, and analyze key financial metrics for the AAT Product lines, including P&L, Operational metrics, and Headcounts.
  • Standardize a set of reporting to communicate the performance to the senior Leadership Team.
  • Understand drivers of profitability, challenge current business assumptions to formulate and recommend opportunities for financial improvements and participate in their implementation.
  • Communicate risks and opportunities to expected results and develop contingency plans to deliver on the financial commitments.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of meaningful experience in a finance role with hands-on experience in providing financial analysis to drive key business decisions within the context of a matrix organization and/or corporate environment.
  • Systems experience, including, but not limited to: SAP, Hyperion Planning, PowerBI, advanced Excel Skills.
  • Minimum of 5 to 7+ years of business and Finance experience.
  • Proficient at understanding and proactively communicating the financial implications of business decisions and dynamics.
