Health Claims Assessor

Lorien, a leading Financial Services company, is seeking a highly skilled Health Claims Assessor to join their Edinburgh-based team for an initial 3-month contract.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a strong understanding of Life products, specifically protection plans, to effectively assess claims.
  • Demonstrate sound medical knowledge to make informed decisions on Critical Illness, Total Permanent Disability, and Waiver of premium benefits.
  • Utilize expertise in Life Health Claims assessment to identify potential cases of misrepresentation and ensure accurate claim processing.
  • Engage effectively with 3rd parties, including re-insurers and medical providers, to gather necessary information and resolve claims efficiently.
  • Exercise delegated decision-making authority to assess claims and make informed decisions.
