Position Overview

Are you an expert in Council Tax or Business Rates seeking a new opportunity that leverages your expertise? We are in search of a Support Consultant with a solid foundation in Revenues.

Your primary responsibility will be to assist our clients in resolving software-related inquiries and issues. You will foster strong relationships with clients while ensuring a superior customer experience. This role offers the flexibility of remote work after an initial training period conducted at our office.

This position transcends typical support roles, as you will collaborate closely with colleagues in development and product teams, utilizing your expertise to enhance our software and elevate customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate will possess a background in Council Tax or Business Rates, potentially as an assessor or system administrator, looking to maximize their existing skills in a new environment. Familiarity with the NEC Revenues and Benefits system is a plus.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support and application guidance to NEC clients.
  • Exhibit comprehensive knowledge of application environments, addressing support issues in alignment with service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Understand contractual obligations with clients, ensuring timely resolution of incidents and problems.
  • Translate client needs into effective workarounds and solutions for a variety of challenges.
  • Identify and cultivate opportunities for additional revenue through enhanced services and solutions.

Please note that this role can be performed in a hybrid model, with a combination of office-based and remote work.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience with Revenues and Benefits software.
  • Strong understanding of Revenues Legislation, including Council Tax and Non-Domestic Rates.
  • Ability to prioritize urgent requests effectively.
  • Proven track record of managing issues to resolution, coordinating necessary resources as needed.
  • Experience working within the Public Sector.
  • Excellent customer relationship management skills.

Desirable Qualifications:

  • ITIL v3 Foundation certification.
  • Understanding of software development principles in an ISO 9001 accredited environment.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
