About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical & Electrical Technician to join our team at Thames Water. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our mechanical and electrical equipment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Investigate and diagnose complex faults in mechanical and electrical equipment, and carry out repairs to minimize downtime.
  • Provide technical advice and support to colleagues, and participate in training and development programs to enhance your skills and knowledge.
  • Work collaboratively with other teams to ensure the effective maintenance and repair of equipment, and contribute to the development of maintenance procedures and protocols.
  • Participate in a standby rota, providing emergency support and maintenance services as required.
Requirements
  • Time-served apprentice with significant experience in electrical systems, or equivalent qualifications in mechanical engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety procedures, and ability to work safely in restricted spaces.
  • Valid driving license and ability to use company vehicles.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with ability to work effectively in a team environment.
