Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Procurement Assistant to join our team at MacFarlane Group. As a key member of our procurement team, you will play a vital role in supporting the management and development of our regional supplier base.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage a large portfolio of suppliers, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
  • Sourcing and negotiating with existing suppliers to secure the best possible prices and terms.
  • Ensuring products meet quality, service, and best-practice standards.
  • Liaising with sales and logistics teams to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
  • Managing supplier performance and building strong relationships with the supplier base.
  • Assisting with tendering activity, product inquiries, and ad-hoc project work.
  • Purchasing standard and bespoke stock items, ensuring accurate and timely delivery.
  • Conducting supplier benchmarking activities to identify areas for improvement.
  • Reporting and analyzing product usage data to inform procurement decisions.
  • Upholding company procurement strategy and adhering to best practices.
  • Maximizing profit and minimizing risk to the business.
  • Performing stock control and office administration tasks.
