Geospatial Engineer Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Geospatial Engineer to join our team at Kinect Recruitment. As a Geospatial Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and implementing innovative GIS solutions to support our clients' business needs.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop ESRI ArcGIS-based applications using the Esri Platform and cloud native environment, including Azure cloud storage and headless technologies such as Azure SQL server.
  • Manipulate, edit, manage, attribute, and analyze spatial data to support multiple analysis outputs.
  • Utilize Model Builder and FME Form and Flow to create and automate ETL and data pipelines.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and translate them into technical workflows and deliverables.
  • Stay updated with the latest GIS trends and technologies, evaluating their potential applications and recommending improvements to enhance GIS workflows and processes.
Requirements:
  • Self-starter with excellent attention to detail, organisational skills, and ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Experience in creating Esri-based applications and dashboards that combine spatial and non-spatial datasets from mobile, geospatial survey, and cloud APIs.
  • Previous experience in data management, processing, and analytics, combining spatial and non-spatial data using Databricks, Azure Data Lakes, or Safe FME Form and Flow.
  • Knowledge of integrating Geospatial services with Microsoft Power Platform, including Power Apps, Power BI, and Power Automate.
  • Ability to develop workflows and automations that integrate spatial and non-spatial data stored in SQL Database, APIs, and Cloud storage.
