About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join our team at HMS Collingwood. As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for managing all engineering and technical aspects of projects, ensuring timely completion, and maintaining high-quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor engineering projects from conception to completion.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant codes, practices, and quality control policies.
  • Interact with clients to understand their needs and requirements.
  • Perform quality control of work and report regularly on project status.
  • Assign responsibilities and mentor project team members.
  • Collaborate with project managers and other stakeholders to provide technical support.
  • Review engineering deliverables and initiate corrective actions.
  • Work with third-party contractors to develop viable time scales and working practices.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in applying project engineering/electrical principles.
  • Excellent knowledge of design and visualisation software.
  • Advanced MS Office skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with project team members, clients, and superiors.
  • Full UK driving licence with ability to travel between sites.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuing professional development.
  • Time management and organisational skills.
  • IOSH Level 3 Managing Safely.
  • Current engineer licence.
  • BSc degree in Engineering or relevant experience.
