About the Role

TPF Recruitment is supporting a fantastic firm of chartered accountants in their search for an experienced professional to join their team as an Accounts and Audit Senior. Our client is a relaxed and friendly firm of chartered accountants that has a strong staff retention rate and a great working environment.

You will work in a general practice capacity across accounts, audit, and tax, and the remit of the position can be built around the candidate's experience and aspirations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Support
    • Support a varied portfolio of clients, predominantly owner-managed and some not-for-profit organizations.
    • Liaise with the team and client where necessary to ensure smooth audit processes.
  • Audit Leadership
    • Lead audits from planning through to completion, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery.
    • Host and conduct pre-audit and post-audit meetings with clients to ensure satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
  • Accountancy and Taxation Advice
    • Provide accountancy and taxation advice and support to clients as necessary.
  • Team Management
    • Assist in the management of a team of qualified and part-qualified accountants.
    • Mentor colleagues, reviewing their work and encouraging prompt and high-quality delivery and service.
  • Professional Development
    • Develop and expand the team's skillset through development plans, training, and support.
  • Business Growth
    • Contribute to the firm's growth by retaining existing clients and building relationships with prospective clients.
Requirements
  • ACA/ACCA qualified or equivalent by experience.
  • At least 3 years of practice experience in audit fieldwork or planning audits.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
