About the Role
The Procurement Specialist will oversee the procurement of all Goods Not For Resale in the business. Utilizing best practice category management, supplier relationship management (SRM) and contract management techniques to maintain our competitive advantage by obtaining best value goods and services in line with business objectives.
Key Responsibilities
- End-to-end sourcing of products and services, following the strategy outlined by the Senior Procurement Manager
- Management of internal stakeholders and the supply base to ensure timely project delivery
- Partnering with stakeholders to provide an effective procurement service, including offering commercially beneficial solutions
- Identifying new proposals, market shifts and/or ways of working and seeking alternatives where necessary, achieved through regular interaction with the supply base
- Commit to the 3-year category plan and guide team members to achieve the wider team targets based on experiences gained through relevant category or project management
- Positively influence continuous improvement across the wider team
- Partner with suppliers, identifying opportunities for projects and commercial value add
- Collate and analyze data identifying trends and opportunities, presenting and communicating this to a non-technical audience, making clearly reasoned recommendations
- Ensuring ongoing governance in specific projects and wider category management
- Constructively challenging cost where necessary
