GSL Education is seeking a passionate and experienced Secondary Teacher - ASD Experienced to join our team of dedicated professionals. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) in their educational journey.
Key Responsibilities:- Teaching and Support: Teach relevant subjects to secondary students, focusing on ASD support and developing tailored educational programs to meet the specific needs of students with Autism Spectrum Disorder.
- Lesson Planning and Adaptation: Develop and adapt lessons according to the curriculum, ensuring they meet Key Stages 3, 4, and 5, and provide one-to-one or small group support to students with ASD in the classroom environment.
- Collaboration and Communication: Work collaboratively with other staff members to create a positive and inclusive learning atmosphere, and maintain excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Qualifications: QTS or relevant degrees such as PGCE, NQT, or ECT qualifications are mandatory, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Psychology or Education-related fields is essential.
- Experience: Proven experience working as a Secondary Teacher - ASD Experienced or with children who have Autism Spectrum Disorder is required.
- Skills and Knowledge: Strong understanding of ASD and strategies to support students effectively in a secondary school setting, and experience in adapting teaching methods and resources to support diverse learning needs.
