Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Theatre Team Leader to join our team at Oxleas NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Perioperative Services team, you will be responsible for leading a team of healthcare professionals in the delivery of high-quality patient care in a fast-paced theatre environment.

Main Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of healthcare professionals in the delivery of patient care in theatre
  • Deputise for the Senior Practitioner in the management of the theatre complex
  • Function as a highly skilled practitioner in theatre, assisting surgeons and anaesthetists in the perioperative period
  • Ensure the highest standards of patient care and safety in theatre
  • Act as a clinical and professional role model for all staff and students
  • Work collaboratively with other members of the multidisciplinary team
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse or Operating Department Practitioner with current NMC/HPC registration
  • Extensive experience in theatre, including scrub experience in various surgical specialties
  • Recent experience in a leadership or management role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
