Assistant Quantity Surveyor (Main Contractor) | Permanent | St Albans, Hertfordshire

Job Summary: We are seeking an experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team in St Albans, Hertfordshire.

About the Role: As an Assistant Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of tender documents, evaluating bids, and managing contracts for new build industrial warehouse projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the preparation of tender documents, including bills of quantities and schedules of rates
  • Evaluate bids from contractors and suppliers, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures
  • Manage contracts, including negotiating terms and conditions, and ensuring timely completion of projects
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with contractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders

Requirements:

  • Relevant degree qualification or equivalent experience
  • Proven track record of working on new build industrial warehouse projects
  • Steel frame experience and knowledge of construction methods and materials
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
