An exceptional opportunity has arisen for a Financial Accounting Manager to join a Portsmouth-based manufacturing and engineering business with nearly 100 years of expertise.
This career-defining role will have a technical focus, but the successful candidate will be exposed to a range of financial areas and will support senior finance leadership, alongside gaining excellent team leadership skills.
Your Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of transactional finance and accounting professionals, promoting their personal and professional development.
- Manage the group consolidation process and ensure the required level of insight and controls are in place.
- Develop internal accounting systems and processes, driving continuous improvements.
- Play a pivotal role in harmonising accounting processes with new acquisitions.
- Design, implement, and maintain an internal financial audit and compliance programme.
- Support ongoing financial planning and analysis activities.
- Report to and support the Finance Director.
Requirements:
- Qualified accountant (ACA or ACCA) with a strong desire to progress their career in a fast-paced and dynamic business.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to cultivate relationships across the business and in multiple locations.
- Strong systems skills and a keen eye for process, with the ability to instigate change across the finance function.
