Primary School Teaching Assistant Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated and caring Teaching Assistant to join our team at a lovely primary school in Runcorn. The successful candidate will work on a 1:1 basis with a child who requires additional support, providing key support for the class teacher and becoming a fundamental day-to-day support for the child.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to a child with special educational needs
  • Collaborate with the class teacher to develop and implement personalized learning plans
  • Adapt activities to cater to the diverse learning styles and individual requirements of the student
  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Build positive relationships with students and colleagues to foster progress and achievement

Requirements:

  • Level 3 or equivalent qualification (or relevant experience)
  • Strong experience working with children with special educational needs (desirable)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
