Senior Sanctions Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Sanctions Adviser to join our team at HM Treasury. As a key member of our Economic Crime and Sanctions Group, you will play a critical role in promoting the UK's prosperity, competitiveness, and economic security by combatting economic crime through effective policy, regulation, and enforcement.
About the RoleIn this challenging and rewarding role, you will be responsible for managing a broad portfolio of cases across multiple sanctions regimes, utilizing case management and prioritization techniques. You will also act as the main point of contact for licensing queries relating to various licensing regimes, ensuring accurate and timely data in our Case Management system.
You will develop and maintain strong working relationships with Foreign Commonwealth and Development Office (FCDO) and HM Treasury colleagues, participating in regular meetings to discuss areas of work. Your excellent communication skills will enable you to interact with licence applicants and their representatives through clear written and oral communications.
You will obtain and assess evidence from various sources to make licensing recommendations, working closely with colleagues across OFSI and government to progress individual cases, identify trends, assess risks, and handle legal challenges.
