Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Storage Management Engineer to join our team at Net2Source Inc. The ideal candidate will have expertise in designing, implementing, and managing cloud storage infrastructure using NetApp Data ONTAP.

Key Responsibilities:

  • System Management and Execution: Design and implement cloud storage systems, ensuring high availability and performance.
  • NetApp Data ONTAP Firmware Upgrades and Recommendations: Stay up-to-date with the latest NetApp Data ONTAP firmware releases and provide recommendations for upgrades and best practices.
  • NetApp Operations Manager (OM) Implementations and Upgrades: Implement and upgrade NetApp OM to ensure seamless monitoring and management of cloud storage systems.
  • Storage and Data Management System Monitoring: Monitor cloud storage systems using NetApp OM to identify potential issues and optimize performance.
  • On-Site Diagnostics and Hardware Replacement: Perform on-site diagnostics and replace hardware components as needed to ensure minimal downtime.
  • NetApp Global Support Center (GSC) Coordination: Coordinate with NetApp GSC to resolve customer issues and provide timely support.
  • Facilitation of GSC Case Resolution: Work closely with customers to resolve GSC cases and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Test Planning and Execution: Plan and execute tests to ensure cloud storage systems meet customer requirements.
  • Participation in Regularly Scheduled Reviews: Participate in regular reviews with customers to discuss system performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Documentation of NetApp Storage Environment: Maintain accurate documentation of NetApp storage environments to ensure easy troubleshooting and maintenance.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • Provide Weekly Written Status Reports: Provide weekly written status reports to customers on Professional Services being performed.
  • Perform Daily Monitoring and Diagnostics: Perform daily monitoring and diagnostics to identify potential issues and optimize system performance.
  • Provide Details on Local Point of Contact: Provide details on a local point of contact to NetApp for Return Material Authorizations.
  • Coordinate GSC Customer Service Personnel: Coordinate with GSC customer service personnel and field resources to solve customer problems.
  • Report on Process and Product Maintenance: Report on process and product maintenance to ensure customers are aware of any changes or updates.
  • Regularly Analyze NetApp Auto Support Diagnostic Data: Regularly analyze NetApp Auto support diagnostic data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Perform Case Trend Analysis: Perform case trend analysis to identify areas for process improvement.
  • Provide Proactive Service Management: Provide proactive service management, including software and hardware release planning and bug analysis.
  • Analyze Software Patches and Field Alerts: Analyze software patches and field alerts and advise customers on appropriate next steps.
  • Assist with Disaster Recovery Planning: Assist with disaster recovery planning, data archival planning, and data migration planning.
  • Analyze Customer Needs: Analyze customer needs and recommend additional products and services to meet those needs.
  • Participate in Customer Weekly Change Management Meetings: Participate in customer weekly change management meetings to discuss system changes and updates.
  • Assist with NetApp Script Modifications: Assist customers in modifying NetApp scripts to meet their specific needs.
