Service Manager - Children Looked After 0-16

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Service Manager to join our Children Looked After 0-16 service in Croydon. As a key member of our management team, you will play a critical role in ensuring children receive the best possible support to achieve their aspirations and have an active voice in everything we do.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead, motivate, manage, supervise, and develop practice for children in care, fostering a culture of continuous learning and development.
  • Develop and implement effective strategies to improve outcomes for children and young people, including those with complex needs.
  • Work closely with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of services and effective communication with families and other stakeholders.
  • Manage and develop the Court and Early Permanence team, ensuring they have the necessary skills and resources to deliver high-quality services.
  • Collaborate with other agencies and partners to ensure a coordinated approach to supporting children and families.
Requirements:
  • Significant experience in managing services for children looked after, including those with complex needs.
  • Proven track record of leading and managing high-performing teams, with a focus on continuous improvement and development.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with colleagues, families, and other stakeholders.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing competing demands.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
