Torbay Pharma is actively seeking a qualified Quality Control Specialist to join our dedicated team. This pivotal role involves providing both functional and technical assistance to our Production and Packaging departments, conducting essential quality assessments on manufacturing lines to ensure adherence to standards and maintain product integrity.

Role Responsibilities
Reporting to the OQA Manager, you will play a key role within the OQA department, leading Quality Continuous Improvement initiatives aimed at minimizing waste and enhancing critical metrics related to safety, quality, efficiency, and cost.
The OQA team serves as the primary contact for addressing issues, ensuring that all concerns are thoroughly investigated and resolved promptly. You will engage in product evaluations and support all production-related activities within the OQA framework.
Key Expectations for the Quality Control Specialist Role:
- Collaborate with the OQA team, including working in production and cleanroom environments.
- Conduct real-time quality assessments to ensure product integrity and facilitate market readiness.
- Support and execute internal audits of processes throughout Torbay Pharmaceuticals.
- Engage in critical quality system tasks, such as investigating product quality incidents and assisting production with quality-related inquiries.
- Coordinate with various departments to ensure quality assessments and analyses are conducted with minimal disruption to manufacturing operations.
- Demonstrate confidence in making challenging decisions regarding product viability, including evaluating the continuation of manufacturing processes.
- Address issues related to specific critical equipment, unexpected results, and out-of-specification findings, assessing outcomes to determine the best course of action.
- Ensure compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and current policies and procedures of Torbay Pharmaceuticals.
- Utilize the PQS in relation to the OQA department, including CAPA, documentation, and audits.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
Essential:
- Proficient in quality management tools.
- Familiarity with Six Sigma methodologies.
- Experience in making final decisions.
- Expertise in root cause analysis.
Desirable:
- Experience in a GMP/GDP/GLP licensed environment.
- Knowledge of large-scale pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.

- Ability to lead and mentor a team of quality technicians.
- Capability to spearhead Continuous Improvement projects across the organization.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
