ROLE SUMMARY – Senior Manufacturing Engineer (CNC)

This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a leading aerospace engineering organization as a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, focusing on the production of aerospace components.

In this role, you will be expected to combine your technical expertise with leadership skills to guide and nurture a small yet growing technical manufacturing team.

Demonstrating proficiency in converting designs into effective production processes will be essential.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – Senior Manufacturing Engineer (CNC)

  • Developing and validating manufacturing processes and specifications.
  • Creating tooling solutions and managing rework processes related to CNC machining.
  • Collaborating with Engineering and Quality teams to resolve supply chain challenges.
  • Conducting problem-solving initiatives and root cause analysis (RCCA).
  • Providing technical guidance and planning for machining tasks.
  • Implementing Lean methodologies and calculating process standard times.
  • Facilitating daily management meetings on the shop floor.
  • Enhancing the Manufacturing Engineering function by identifying innovative technologies to boost productivity and quality.
  • Contributing to the vision of a future-ready manufacturing facility and its associated technologies.

QUALIFICATIONS – Senior Manufacturing Engineer (CNC)

  • Completion of a Manufacturing/Engineering Apprenticeship or higher qualification.
  • Hands-on experience in Machining (Milling and Turning).
  • Proficient in online programming with Fanuc and Heidenhain CNC controls.
  • Strong understanding of geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Experience with 3D modeling and CAD software (CATIA V5).
  • Familiarity with machining various materials, including composites.
  • Knowledge of Lean Six Sigma principles.
  • Experience in offline programming using CAD/CAM software.
