Job Description

**Job Title:** Quantity Surveyor - Contract Management Specialist

**Job Summary:** We are seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team as a Contract Management Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing main contract documents, preparing payment schedules, and determining the extent and value of completed building work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage main contract documents, including tasks such as agreeing on bond wording and overseeing contract signing.
  • Prepare payment schedules outlining main contract valuations and payment deadlines.
  • Determine the extent and value of completed building work for interim payments to contractors in accordance with the contract.
  • Pre-qualify subcontractors to ensure compliance with company procedures.
  • Agree on and issue subcontractor packages.
  • Assess and resolve contractor claims throughout the contract period.
  • Provide expert advice on contractual matters.
  • Monitor expenditures and provide monthly financial reports, including cost forecasts.
  • Prepare project budgets, including the confirmation of anticipated overhead contributions.
  • Negotiate and finalize accounts.
  • Ensure that any variations are agreed upon with the client in writing before work begins.
  • Manage claims related to extensions of time, delays, disruptions, and out-of-sequence work.
  • Prepare monthly cost versus value reconciliation documents.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Quantity Surveying
  • 3 years post-graduate experience in the UK/Irish market
