Mechanical Systems Technician

JOB OBJECTIVEThe Facilities Maintenance Specialists are tasked with the upkeep and repair of our facility's equipment, systems, and infrastructure in both residential and public spaces.
This role involves executing maintenance strategies, addressing repair needs, and collaborating closely with the Maintenance Manager to ensure seamless operations.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
To deliver an outstanding guest experience through:
Equipment Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on machinery, mechanical systems, and equipment to guarantee their effective and safe operation. Troubleshoot and rectify issues in mechanical and electrical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, and other essential building systems. Support the maintenance manager in formulating and executing preventive maintenance initiatives to reduce equipment downtime and prolong lifespan.
Communication and Collaboration: Address maintenance requests and urgent situations swiftly and effectively, minimizing disruptions to operations. Work in tandem with the Maintenance Manager to uphold maintenance standards for both staff and guests. Collaborate with contractors and vendors to fulfill maintenance repair projects.
Guest Support: Offer friendly and responsive service to guests, promptly addressing any specific requests or concerns. Provide courteous assistance to guests, customers, and staff, responding to inquiries and requests in a professional manner.
Safety and Compliance: Follow safety protocols, including the proper handling of tools, equipment, and chemicals, to ensure a safe working environment. Manage and complete risk assessments and method statements, ensuring all training is current and all equipment meets compliance standards across the site.
Sustainability: Promote and implement sustainability initiatives as directed by Escapade Silverstone.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND QUALIFICATIONS- Experience in a 4-star or 5-star hotel or any distinctive lifestyle brand is preferred but not mandatory.
- Adherence to health and safety standards, risk assessments, and method statements.
- Ensure relevant qualifications are current and up to date.
- Strong guest service orientation.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team or independently.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.
- Proficient command of the English language; additional languages are a plus.
- Maintain high standards of personal grooming and hygiene.
- Competent in using IT systems and software, including Microsoft Office.
- A full clean UK driving license is desirable.
