Teaching Assistant - Additional Needs Support

We are seeking dedicated and experienced teaching assistants to support children with additional needs in a dynamic and supportive school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide individualized support to pupils with complex additional needs, including autism, ADHD, and SEMH.
  • Lead small group interventions and develop tailored support plans to meet the needs of each pupil.
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure a cohesive and effective support system.
  • Engage pupils in their learning and promote their social, emotional, and personal wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a school or childcare setting, preferably with children with special educational needs.
  • Strong understanding of Special Educational Needs and strategies to support pupils effectively.
  • Ability to adapt to the needs of individual pupils and tailor approaches accordingly.
  • Right to work in the UK, up-to-date CV, and two relevant references from within the last 2 years.
  • DBS registered to the update service or willingness to apply for one with GSL Education.
