Requirements include:

  • A minimum of a 2:1 BSc/BEng in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent
  • At least 8 years of post-qualification experience in civil and structural engineering
  • A valid UK driving license and personal transportation

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering high-quality conceptual, preliminary, and detailed technical designs for projects involving highway and drainage systems.
  • Conducting various drainage calculations, including QBar, attenuation storage, soakaway sizing, and network analysis.
  • Designing adoptable and non-adoptable highway structures, including driveways and footpaths.
  • Preparing necessary documentation for drainage designs, flood risk assessments, and drainage strategies.
  • Managing submissions to relevant authorities for drainage and highway applications.
  • Writing reports such as Transport Statements and Flood Risk Assessments.
  • Ensuring projects are completed within budget and on schedule.
  • Overseeing CAD/Revit technicians and junior engineers, ensuring quality assurance in technical details.
  • Exhibiting confidence and capability in team and project management.
  • Utilizing drainage and highway design software effectively.
  • Demonstrating proactivity and independence in work.
