About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Financial Operations to join our team at S&P Global. As a key member of our Corporate Controllers organization, you will be responsible for leading a team of financial professionals and providing strategic guidance on financial operations, revenue recognition, and accounting processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 10-15 financial professionals in the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
- Partner with business teams to understand complex products and provide actionable revenue solutions.
- Create and update complex revenue accrual models to ensure accurate revenue recognition.
- Conduct research and synthesize large quantities of data into actionable analysis for management.
- Provide in-depth revenue analysis for various products and their impact on the bottom line.
- Be the key point of contact for S&P Global's ASC 606 accounting and ensure compliance with US GAAP.
- Understand and apply best practices related to revenue recognition and strong internal controls.
Requirements:
- 6+ years of experience in public accounting, asset management, financial planning and analysis, or economic analysis.
- Revenue Accounting experience and a CPA/CA certification.
- Experience designing, building, and testing workflows in Alteryx to support analysis of large and complex data sets.
- Strong Excel and data manipulation skillset.
- Experience analyzing data and creating visualizations to support business decision making through the use of Tableau/PowerBI.
- Strong written and oral communication skills, self-motivated, focused, creative, quick learner, ability to work with minimal supervision.
- Experience in dashboard design and focused, thoughtful visual display of quantitative information.
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and see projects through to successful completion.
- Demonstrated interest in financial markets.
- Proficiency/knowledge in PowerPoint, QlikView, Oracle, SAP, or other database tools.

- Competitive base salary range: $100,379 to $176,444.
