We are seeking a skilled Teaching Assistant/Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team at a popular College in the Merthyr area.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will work in our Behaviour unit, supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), Social Behavioural Disorder, and other complex needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support teaching and learning in a Behaviour unit setting
  • Work closely with pupils with ASD, ADHD, and other complex needs
  • Develop and implement behaviour management strategies
  • Collaborate with teachers and other support staff to ensure effective pupil support
  • Contribute to the development of a positive and inclusive learning environment
Requirements
  • Teaching Assistant/HLTA Qualification and/or 6 months experience working with children
  • ALN experience and experience working with Challenging Behaviour
  • Excellent organisational and administrative skills
  • Ability to work well within a team environment
