Administrative Assistant

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented individual to join our Central Administration Team at Camborne Redruth Community Hospital. The successful candidate will work part-time, approximately 30 hours per week.
A uniform will be provided, and the flexibility to work additional hours to meet service needs would be an advantage, but is not essential.
The primary responsibility of the post holder will be to provide reception and clerical duties to the Outpatients Department. However, from time to time, you may be required to work in other areas of the hospital, such as the main reception/General Office. You will need to be extremely organized and pay close attention to detail and be flexible to deal with changing work environments and priorities. Having the ability to learn new processes and procedures quickly will also be necessary.
Previous experience of working in a patient or client-focused environment will be an advantage, as will experience of working in a busy reception. Training and support will be given to the successful applicant.
Main ResponsibilitiesTo provide full clerical and administrative support to the Outpatients' Department, Wound Management Clinic, General Office, and other departments as required on a rostered admin rota, which are key functions within the hospital.
To be the first point of contact for all patients, visitors, and members of the public attending the hospital and to ensure they are fully assisted as required.
Requirements- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Knowledge and experience of using Microsoft Office or similar applications
- Experience of working in an administrative setting
- Experience of managing electronic and paper-based diary/appointment systems
- Word processing and data inputting skills
- Ability to communicate clearly on telephone and face to face
- Ability to use initiative to prioritize duties
- Willing to undertake further development and training as necessary
