Job Title: General Chef

We are seeking a skilled and passionate General Chef to join our team at The Northallerton Inn. As a General Chef, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional food service, ensuring the safety and security of food stock, and maintaining a clean working environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food to the highest standards, following recipes and presentation specifications.
  • Operate kitchen equipment safely and efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized workspace.
  • Assist with cleaning and organization of the kitchen and equipment, adhering to health and safety standards.
  • Restock items as needed throughout the shift, ensuring a smooth and efficient service.
  • Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards, maintaining a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
  • Experience in a similar role and fresh food environment, with a genuine commitment and passion for food, training, and quality service.
  • Excellent communication, time-keeping, and organizational skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Awareness of presentation and attention to detail, with a focus on delivering exceptional food service.
