Education Support Assistant

GSL Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a friendly school in Portsmouth. As a key member of the education team, you will play a vital role in supporting the learning and emotional development of a child, ensuring they have the best possible educational experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide dedicated support to a child in the classroom, helping them with academic tasks and encouraging their engagement in lessons.
- Work closely with teachers and other staff to create a supportive learning environment, monitoring the child's progress and providing regular feedback.
- Support the child's social and emotional development, ensuring their wellbeing and providing a safe and nurturing environment.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a 1:1 Teaching Assistant or in a similar role is preferred.
- Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for helping children succeed.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work well as part of a team.
- Relevant qualifications or training in education or childcare are desirable.
