Senior Social Work Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Social Worker to join our Front Line Services Team at Hillingdon Council.
About the RoleAs a Senior Social Worker, you will play a key role in mentoring, coaching, and supervising aspiring social workers while providing support to vulnerable children and young people in Hillingdon.
Key Responsibilities- Maintain professional registration and compliance with council's DBS requirements.
- Manage a limited client caseload within a supervised framework.
- Accept referrals from Supervisor or Team Manager.
- Interview clients and other relevant people.
- Assess the nature of issues, identify relevant objectives, and take effective action to achieve solutions.
- Employ a variety of social work models and techniques to address client requirements.
- Apply available resources to meet the needs of the child.
- Maintain confidentiality and comply with data protection protocols.
- Receive regular professional supervision and maintain a critical reflective approach to practice.
- Recognize professional limits and seek advice from Supervisor, Team Manager, or experienced Social Workers when required.
- Work collaboratively with other council officers and agencies.
- Demonstrate awareness and compliance with required Standards, including the Social Work Professional Capabilities Framework.
- A qualified Social Worker with at least 2 years post-qualifying experience.
- Someone who thinks outside the box, challenges others, and makes evidence-based decisions.
- Enthusiastic and committed to building a culture based on excellence and collaboration.
- Leadership and management skills to support others in developing risk management skills.
