We are seeking skilled professionals to join our team at Schindler Group, a leading global provider of lifts, escalators, and moving walkways.

A full-time apprenticeship with Schindler Group involves experience rotations across our business following a structured programme, covering Service and Maintenance, New Installations, Modernisation, Repairs, and Escalators. This comprehensive programme allows apprentices to develop a full range of skills in all aspects of our business.

We are currently looking to recruit an Installation Apprentice in the North/Northeast area of Greater London and surrounding areas, to work on multiple sites with various passenger and goods carrying elevators.

As an Installation Apprentice, you will learn and complete all the steps required to install a Schindler elevator, including participating in the test and inspection process to ensure the elevator is ready for client use.

The ideal candidate must be hardworking, determined, and ambitious, with a passion for learning and advancing their career within our customer-focused company.

Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, you will obtain a NVQ Level 3 Lift Electromechanics qualification and a formal qualification in mechanical/electrical engineering. There may also be opportunities to join our Field Operation teams after graduation and further develop your career at Schindler Group.

Candidate Requirements:

  • Good communication skills
  • Minimum of 5 GCSEs at Grade 4 or above
  • Full UK driving license (or working towards achieving one within 12 months)
  • Customer service and information technology skills
  • Logical thinking and good practical skills

Working hours are Monday to Thursday 8.00am - 5.00pm and Friday 8.00am - 4.00pm, totaling 37 hours per week.
