Job Title: Airfield Engineering Asset Project Engineer

Andy File Associates Limited is seeking a highly skilled Project Engineer to join their team. As a Recruitment Agency, we are working on behalf of our client to fill this permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for providing technical delivery and governance to a wide scope of projects for customers within a project lifecycle. This will involve ensuring effective and efficient delivery of strategic goals through bespoke solutions based on clients' requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Plan and oversee projects to ensure timely and budget-friendly completion.
  2. Manage IT projects, utilizing strong technical background and networking experience.
  3. Identify smarter ways of working through post-project analysis and new technologies.
  4. Develop excellent organisation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  5. Work closely with the Service Desk Manager and Strategic Account Managers to keep them informed of live projects.
  6. Ensure projects are smoothly transitioned to the Service Desk for ongoing support.

Requirements:

  1. Previous experience as a project engineer is essential.
  2. Good knowledge of Windows Server, Virtual environments, SQL Server, Microsoft stack, Networking, Active Directory, and Antivirus.
  3. Microsoft Azure IaaS experience is required.
  4. Excellent communication skills are essential.
  5. Ability to manage a diverse workload and work calmly under pressure.
  6. Relevant experience of working in an IT setting is necessary.
  7. Exceptional team working skills are required.
  8. A recognised qualification in project/programme management is desirable but not essential.

Working Arrangements:

  1. The role can be worked in a hybrid capacity with visits to clients.
  2. A UK Driving Licence is required.
  3. A company car or pool car may be provided depending on mileage covered within the role.
