We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Psychologist to join our Neurodevelopmental Lifespan Service (NDLS) in Canterbury.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will provide clinical support to our team of Clinical and Counselling Psychologists, Psychiatrists, Pediatricians, specialist therapists, and administrative staff in the delivery and expansion of high-quality psychological and neurodevelopmental services.
Key Responsibilities- Provide effective clinical support to the Directors and other clinicians.
- Support the delivery of clinical services under supervision, including assessments and psychological interventions.
- Undertake clinical psychometric and psychological testing as directed and under the supervision of a Chartered Psychologist.
- Attend treatment sessions as an observer and under the supervision of a Chartered Psychologist.
- Contribute to rehabilitation programmes and liaise with relevant stakeholders to ensure a holistic approach to care.
- Conduct literature searches, collate audit and outcome evidence, and produce reports to inform and enhance care delivered by the service.
Candidates must have a degree in Psychology (minimum 2:1 classification) and be eligible for Graduate membership of the British Psychological Society. Experience working with clients with autism and/or ADHD is advantageous.
Person Specification- Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate complex information effectively.
- Ability to be flexible and adapt approach according to need.
- Able to use supervision and/or line management well to improve output.
