Job Title: SEN Support Worker

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Support Worker to join our team in Rayleigh. As an SEN Support Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs (SEN) to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have experience working with children or young adults with SEN in an educational or care setting. You will be responsible for providing one-to-one and small group support to students, assisting in the preparation and delivery of tailored learning activities, and working collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide support to students with SEN in their daily activities, ensuring they can access the curriculum effectively.
  • Assist in the preparation and delivery of tailored learning activities that meet the individual needs of students.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, therapists, and other support staff to implement IEPs and behaviour management strategies.
  • Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
Requirements
  • Experience working with children or young adults with SEN in an educational or care setting.
  • A compassionate and patient approach, with the ability to build strong relationships with students and colleagues.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
