Role Overview

As a Strategic Planning Lead at Optimum Recruitment Group Limited, you will play a pivotal role in steering the commercial strategy of a dynamic medium-sized enterprise.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide strategic commercial insights to the management team, enhancing decision-making processes.
  • Collaborate with the Management Team to deliver high-quality management information that supports the Board in achieving growth targets.
  • Oversee and guide a team of business partners in developing robust financial plans and forecasts.
  • Manage the daily operations of the Group's forecasting, planning, and corporate reporting functions.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly revenue line profit and loss statements to drive profitability improvements.
Reporting and Analysis

Generate comprehensive monthly board packs for the Group Financial Controller and Chief Financial Officer, presenting plans, forecasts, and actual results in a manner that encourages actionable insights at the board level.

Engage with the management team to assess monthly performance against budget and identify necessary actions.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • A professional accounting qualification (CIMA / ACA / ACCA) with relevant post-qualification experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in finance business partnering, fostering collaborative relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • A proactive approach and a strong motivation to enhance business performance.
  • Previous experience in financial planning and analysis or commercial finance.
