Staff Nurse-Outpatients Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Staff Nurse to join our Outpatient team at The London Clinic. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our department.
Job SummaryThe successful candidate will be responsible for providing exceptional nursing care to patients in our outpatient setting. This will involve working closely with consultants, nursing colleagues, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care delivery.
Key Responsibilities- Provide individualized patient care, working closely with consultants and nursing colleagues to ensure the best possible outcomes.
- Ensure accurate and legible nursing records, adhering to legal and professional standards.
- Deliver evidence-based care, prioritizing patient needs and safety.
- Coordinate and assist with minor procedures, such as Gynae, Colposcopy, Hysteroscopy, and ENT clinics.
- Participate in mandatory updates and training, maintaining professional development and expertise.
- Communicate effectively with colleagues and patients, promoting confidence and trust.
- Act as a professional accountable practitioner, adhering to Codes of Professional Conduct and Practice.
- Be flexible in staffing situations, adapting to changing needs and priorities.
- Contribute to departmental meetings, enhancing team communication and collaboration.
- Be conversant with the Clinic's patient information system, ensuring comprehensive patient notes and proficient in using order entry for accounting purposes.
- Assist in maintaining stock items, adhering to budget boundaries and participating in weekly stock checks, ordering, and annual stock takes.
- Undertake office duties, taking charge when required with distant supervision from Clinical Rooms Manager and Sister in Charge.
- Establish effective interdepartmental liaison, contributing to optimal patient care.
- Liaise with consultant secretaries, insurance companies, and the International office as necessary.
- Minimum 3 years' surgical experience in at least one specific surgical specialty, ideally Gynaecology, ENT/Dermatology, or Colorectal.
- Proven experience in wound management.
- Competent in removing all types of sutures, clips, and aseptic dressings.
- ILS/BLS certificate.
- Ability to prioritize and coordinate own workload.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in clear spoken English.
- Good PC skills.
- Good time management.
- NMC registered.
