Key Responsibilities:
  • Assess and manage patient care in a dynamic and ever-changing environment
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless patient care
  • Provide education and support to patients and families to promote health and wellness
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction
Requirements:
  • Current registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario or eligibility
  • Ability to interpret basic arrhythmias and work on a Medical/Surgical Unit as required
  • Current certification in ACLS, PALS, BCLS, CTAS, and delegated medical acts
  • Leadership, problem-solving, decision-making, critical thinking, and interpersonal skills
  • Assessment and interviewing skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and contribute to continuous quality improvement
  • Ability to work all shifts and commit to continuous professional development and continuing education
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Emergency Nursing Certificate
  • Physical Assessment Course
  • TNCC or equivalent
  • Recent Medical/Surgical/PACU/Day Surgery/Critical Care experience
  • Two years recent Emergency experience
