About the Role

The Master Data Management Analyst will be responsible for the daily creation, maintenance, and management of information in support of our client's Master Data Management and governance initiatives. This position will also serve as analytical support and subject-matter expert of Item master data related to the Oracle EBS suite.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Lead Continuous Improvement Projects: Identify and lead continuous improvement projects involving optimisation of manufacturing capacities and capabilities.
  2. Drive Standard Practices: Drive standard practices in product configuration, packaging and the manufacturing process.
  3. Own Item Configuration: Own the item configuration and creation process.
  4. Evaluate Packaging Options: Evaluates and determines optimum packaging to minimise cost to manufacture and deliver.
  5. Collaborate with Cross-Functional Teams: Works closely with the Customer Service and Commercial organisation, Process Engineers, the Pricing Centre of Excellence, the Costing Group, manufacturing counterparts, Application Development, data warehousing and the finance organisation.
  6. Execute Data Analysis: Execute the analysis and decision relating to creation, maintenance, and management of data in Legacy systems and EBS (Oracle).
  7. Ensure System Synchronisation: Ensure Legacy system(s) and Oracle system synchronisation.
  8. Maintain Data Integrity: Responsible for maintaining and governing the integrity of the Master Data.
  9. Train and Support: Train on and support adherence to data standards and naming conventions across shared data systems.
  10. Research and Analyse: Research, analyse, and consult as required to support data users across the organisation.
  11. Develop MDM Test Scripts: Create and/or assist in the creation of and execution of MDM test scripts for Oracle BST integration testing.
  12. Align with Cross-Functional Teams: Align with cross-track user groups (test scenarios, draft test cases and conduct user and business testing).
  13. Support Technology Enhancements: Support, test, recommend solutions for technology enhancements which enable efficiency and productivity gains around data management and maintenance.
  14. Recommend Business Process Improvements: Recommend solutions and provide support for improved business processes around the shared administration of data.
  15. Implement Process Mapping: Implement process mapping, business case development, workflow definition, and requirements definition around data management.
  16. Execute Governance and Audit Reviews: Execute governance and audit reviews around master data to ensure integrity and completion of data at operational levels. Generate reports to validate data governance.
Requirements
  1. Education: Four-year degree in information/computer science, data management, business or related field.
  2. Experience: Experience with the Oracle EBS system.
  3. Oracle Agile System: Experience with the Oracle Agile system.
  4. Cross-Functional Experience: Position might be responsible for supporting several divisions and business units, so cross-divisional experience is strongly beneficial and preferred.
  5. Travel: Travel will be required - approximately 25% minimum, but can vary substantially.
  6. Technical Skills: Extensive knowledge of Excel and creating complex spreadsheets to analyse data.
  7. Oracle SQL: Oracle SQL - familiarity with SQL; ability to troubleshoot queries returning incorrect data or no data at all.
  8. Programming Knowledge: Programming knowledge/languages.
  9. Financial Acumen: Good financial acumen, to include understanding the impact and interaction of cost components on the P&L.
What We Offer

The role pays up to £27,000 per annum, provides 25 days annual leave and up to 11% matched pension. You will be expected to attend the Chesterfield office once a week.
