Primary Higher Level Teaching Assistant Opportunity

Protocol Education is working with a school in Doncaster to find a dedicated and enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join their team. The successful candidate will be required to teach a full class, with planning provided, and may also lead intervention sessions. The school has a large number of children with English as an additional language, so the ability to adapt and use initiative is essential.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Teaching a full class with provided planning
  • Leading intervention sessions as required
  • Working with children who have English as an additional language
  • Using initiative and being adaptable to meet the needs of the school and children

Requirements:

  • Good general level of education, including Maths and English GCSE grade C/5 or above, or further relevant experience
  • NVQ level 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent
  • Experience of working within the curriculum
  • Confidence in teaching both groups and the whole class
  • High expectations of all pupils' achievements and behaviour
  • Commitment to raising standards and creating inspiring learning environments
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team
  • Organisation and ability to show initiative
